HPLC Column, Nova Similars C18, 4um, 2.1mm ID x 100mm Length. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.

Additional Information:

Nova Similars C18™ is a traditional reversed-phase HPLC stationary phase manufactured on high-purity Type-B spherical silica with a fully endcapped octadecyl (C18) bonded phase. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to Waters™ Nova-Pak® columns, it offers comparable chromatographic behavior for USP L1 methods while providing the strong hydrophobic retention, reproducibility, and broad applicability expected from a conventional C18 stationary phase.

64418-10P-2 is a 100 mm x 2.1 mm ID narrow-bore analytical column packed with 4 µm Nova Similars C18 particles. The 100 mm length provides an excellent balance of chromatographic resolution and analysis speed, while the 2.1 mm ID format minimizes solvent consumption and is well suited for LC-MS applications. The 4 µm particle size provides improved efficiency and somewhat sharper peaks than comparable 5 µm columns while maintaining moderate operating pressure. Typical flow rates are approximately 0.2–0.3 mL/min and require a system capable of reliable low-flow operation with low-volume flow cells and plumbing.

This USP L1 column is ideal for hydrophobic and neutral compounds requiring strong reversed-phase retention. Common applications include LC-MS methods, pharmaceutical analysis, long-chain fatty acid separations, and method development where sensitivity, solvent savings, and efficient chromatographic performance are important.
